Dr. Akintoye Akindele is the Founder and Chairman of Platform Capital, one of Africa’s leading investment firms and family-office platforms, with over $1.5 billion in assets under management/portfolio value.
Prior to founding Platform Capital, Dr. Akindele was a Founder and Partner at Synergy Capital Partners, a leading African private equity firm with over $350 million in AUM.
He has extensive experience across private equity, investment management, corporate finance, entrepreneurship and energy infrastructure, and has been involved in investing in and building businesses across Africa.
Dr. Akindele also serves in leadership roles across several prominent African companies, including Duport Midstream and MidAtlantic Partners, with significant interests in the oil & gas, energy and infrastructure sectors.
He is also an entrepreneur, investor, mentor and educator, with a strong track record of supporting and financing African businesses and entrepreneurs.
